Random customer reviews : Gate one cheaped our Phillps Island Penguin tour and put 5 of us on a tour with another group. Problem: bus was extremely uncomfortable. Seats as hard as a rock. No leg room. I’m 5’3” and my legs hit the back of the seat. Bus had terrible suspension bounced all over. This was not up to the high quality of their other tours. Don’t bother to book it. If Gate one puts you with another tour group be cautious. Read extra details on Gate1travel complaints.
Some negative reviews : When Gate1 induces you to book early by stating that prices will go up by $400 after a June 15 deadline, it is completely bogus. In my case, I booked in May just to discover 6 weeks later that prices had gone DOWN, not up. Their customer service is dreadful with people repeatedly unable to even understand what a complaint is about. Then a supervisor in the sales department deflect the problem on the marketing department. When confronted, Gate1 is very careful not to acknowledge any of this in writing and they just dont care. Their message: if the customer does not like it, that is fine, he can cancel and they keep the $300 deposit!
Some positive reviews : I have just returned home from Thailand the best tour Ever .l had great time whit gate1 everything went perfect but the highlight for my trip be perfect was my guide tour TUK we couldn’t have asked for a better tour guide funny very knowledgeable treated everyone whit respect very professional she was Amazing and definitely l recommend gate 1 for all my friends .
