Dr. Anosh Ahmed shares how you should invest in your health: When it comes to caffeine consumption, less is more. High caffeine intakes result in poor sleep and can raise blood pressure and heart rate. Exercise is secondary to calorie restriction when it comes to losing weight, but everyone must reach optimal cardiac health to prevent future heart attacks and strokes. One of the best ways to start an exercise regimen that works is to walk 15 minutes a day. Gradually increase this until you are walking 10,000 steps per day or the equivalent of 5 miles. You can get these steps in as part of your daily routine or commit to going on walks. If you do not regularly get outside, treadmills are sufficient, along with gym exercise.
Dr. Anosh Ahmed is a practicing internal medicine physician and active member of his local community. What traits do you possess that makes a successful leader? I think it starts with being open and honest and being able to communicate exactly what you want to communicate. It also means being good to people, treating them well. People will trust you if they understand you, and it makes it a lot easier to do your job as a leader. What suggestions do you have for someone starting in your industry? Entrepreneurs should anticipate failure early on and always plan for the worst outcome so that they’re not surprised. And it’s okay to fail and it’s okay to fall down. I think the best way to learn is from your failures. Then you can stay away from making the same mistake over and over again.
