Who is Jeffrey Lane Romero and some of his digital marketing ideas? I was born and raised in the Salt Lake City, Utah valley where I am a proud graduate of the University of Utah. After spending some time on the road playing drums in a couple of bands following college and a stint in Denver, I found myself in Sacramento managing digital marketing for an online retailer of lighting and home goods. I helped grow the company’s organic and paid marketing strategies while breaking traffic and sales records along the way.

Jeff Romero, cofounder of Octiv Digital, agreed that brands and digital marketing teams need to focus on where the majority of their customers search, which is most likely Google. “However, it’s important to keep alternative search engine trends in mind, especially while reviewing Google Analytics data.” There’s a chance your brand could receive some relevant traffic on another search engine that’s worth looking into. “On top of that,” Geary continued, “users are tired of having their data tracked to the smallest, most intimate details and then watching that data get sold off to third parties.” The large tech companies have such size and ubiquitousness that they have a monopoly on consumer data. “We know intuitively that too much power leads to corruption and is almost never in the best interest of the client,” agreed Turczynski and “to some extent, we’re starting to see the nascent stages of this backlash against Google.” Discover more information on Jeff Romero.
