Sometimes a movement of a piece of music will be called “Adagio”; Crescendo: A Crescendo in sheet music looks can be abbreviated “cresc.” This string music terms mean to get louder little by little.

Miss Laura’s lesson plans include customized practice charts and lesson notes. First, you will receive emailed PDF or spreadsheet practice charts to help keep track of practice. Also, you will receive e-mailed notes about the lesson and practice assignments. Most important, make it a goal to practice at least 5 times per week for the length of your online lesson (25 or 55 min.)

I don’t just teach online violin lessons, I go beyond with lesson plans that include so much more. I provide online lesson portals, audio practice aids and audio practice submissions with feedback too. These are on top of the regular online violin lesson. That means, the lesson isn’t over after the online zoom lesson. Each lesson plan encourages the most progress per week. This learning environment is the most effective with teacher support that continues all week. Discover additional information on Online Violin Lessons.

How to change atrings? Remove the old string: First we need to remove the old string. Simply loosen the peg for that string and gently pull the end of the string out of the peg hole. Now the peg can come completely out of the peg box so be careful not to drop it. Remove the end of the string from the tail piece or fine-tuner. It is very important that you only remove one string at a time so that the bridge stays in place. To change all the strings on a violin, start with the A string and move down to D and G, changing the violin E string last since it is the smallest and most sensitive string. Use the same technique for Viola and Cello saving the A for last.
